{"id":237,"date":"2019-06-27T12:08:23","date_gmt":"2019-06-27T11:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rmpaterson.com\/blog\/?p=237"},"modified":"2019-06-27T12:08:50","modified_gmt":"2019-06-27T11:08:50","slug":"japans-view-on-no-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rmpaterson.com\/blog\/2019\/06\/japans-view-on-no-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"Japan&#8217;s view on no deal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Japan&#8217;s Foreign Minister is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/business-48783525\">asking both Prime Ministerial candidates to avoid a no-deal Brexit.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those of us who don&#8217;t want any Brexit will no doubt understand that perspective, but do the candidates?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-politics-48778509\">Laura Kuenssberg discusses each candidate<\/a>&#8216;s elements of character and leadership, her perspective, but she does try to be very balanced and objective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whatever happens, whoever wins that race, they will face the same damning issues as Theresa May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What&#8217;s positive for a Remainer, is that there are <a href=\"https:\/\/inews.co.uk\/news\/brexit\/finance-bill-amendment-no-deal-brexit-explained-cross-party-coalition\/\">cross-party MPs working to stop a no-deal Brexit<\/a> and perhaps that will drive a proper discussion about what people really voted for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whatever happens, I don&#8217;t believe Halloween will be Brexit day and there will be many more actions that will happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Japan&#8217;s Foreign Minister is asking both Prime Ministerial candidates to avoid a no-deal Brexit.
