Lois McMaster Bujold is a fantastic story teller. The series of books revolving around Miles Vorkosigan and the universe he inhabits have always struck me as well crafted and emotionally laden stories.<\/p>\n
She really shows empathy both with Miles and those around him, making all the characters feel real, even the baddies seem to have valid thinking, even if of course twisted by our own standards.<\/p>\n
I’d never focused on Miles’ disabilities as I think he towers, in spite of his \u201creal\u201d height, because of his character and indomitable spirit.<\/p>\n
The review below takes a different perspective, but feels accurate nonetheless.<\/p>\n
